So week 2 is over!! Thank god it's finally Friday so we can do the shred a little later on the weekend. I hit my wall last night and passed out at 9:30. I was so tired that I didn't even hear Ali come to bed. Since I went to bed so early I was actually ready to do the shred this morning. But since Ali went to bed late this time, she was the one who wanted to sleep in this morning. I know it's my job to motivate her but I just couldn't talk her our of going back to sleep. I think I tried for a whole 5 seconds though.
When I got home, Ali had already done the shred and was showered and relaxed for the evening. I was planning on doing the shred once Paige went to sleep but it's Friday night and I wanted to get my relaxing on too!! So I finally put the DVD in around 7:45 and Paige worked out with me while we were doing the stretching. She got bored after 30 seconds though and Ali put her to bed around 8. My motivation tonight was watching Ali enjoy her vodka and soda while I worked out. I knew I had to get the workout done before I could relax and I was full of energy because this was the last thing I had to do for the week.
The only problem I had working out tonight was that Ali got me 2 double cheeseburgers from McDonald's when they got their dinner. I ate both of them as soon as I got home but it was less than 2 hours before I did the shred...NOT a good idea. But now that I think about it, how on Earth did I do a complete workout as hard as this after eating something as bad as that??! I know for sure that I would have died if I tried doing that on day 1 of this challenge. Just being able to complete the shred tonight proves to me that my body has changed. Even though I probably only burned the calories that I just ate, I can definitely tell the difference in my stomach, arms and legs. I will give this DVD 2 thumbs up!!
