I wake up at 5:45 this morning with Ali saying she would do the shred at night instead of the morning. Then 10 minutes later she says she is going to do it in the morning instead...by this time I have already fallen back asleep. So needless to say we ended up doing the shred separately but I don't think either one of us phoned it in.
As soon as I came home, Ali had dinner waiting for me as usual. I was determined to do the shred though so I ate dinner and then changed into my workout clothes. 15 minutes later, I had the DVD in the machine and was warming up to do my level 3 shred for day 7. Paige has been trying to do the workout with us, so instead of waiting for Paige to get hit in the head with one of my weights Ali decides to take her into the bathroom for her nighttime bath. They are gone just long enough for me to finish the day's exercise.
Even though I was doing the shred at night instead of the morning, it was still VERY HARD!! I saw Ali post a few days ago about me sweating a lot and tonight was no exception. I was actually cleaning up the pools of sweat as I was working out. For some reason I'm able to hear all of Jillian's comments at night and it's funny because I'm thinking everything that she says. Like breathing...I always forget to do something as simple as breathe but as soon as she says remember to breathe, I find myself taking a deep breath and finishing the exercise with more energy. I really don't know if it's easier to do the exercise in the morning or night but I do know that the morning exercises allow us to workout together and we are able to motivate each other more when we watch the other person struggle...I mean "try"...to complete the exercise. I'm going to have a six pack in no time!
